Work from the programme deadline
Start dates and application windows differ by institution and programme. Do not assume a university offers every course in every intake. Check the programme page and ask admissions to confirm anything that is unclear.
Make a preparation calendar
- Record the application deadline, scholarship deadline and planned start date separately.
- Allow time for transcripts, references and any programme-specific materials.
- Identify the dates by which you need to meet offer conditions.
- Plan time for official visa procedures, accommodation and travel.
- Keep a backup option if an essential document or decision is delayed.
When your timeline changes
If you cannot meet a deadline, ask the institution about its options. Deferral, a later intake or a different programme may have separate conditions. Get any change confirmed in writing before rearranging your plans.
