Understand
your points.

Estimate points under the published Home Affairs tables checked on 24 September 2026. This does not determine eligibility or predict an invitation.

Skilled partner points require a partner under 45 at invitation, competent English, an occupation on the same skilled list and a suitable assessment (not a subclass 485 assessment). The partner must be applying for the same subclass and must not be an Australian citizen or permanent resident. Employment must be remunerated, at least 20 hours weekly, in the nominated or a closely related occupation; Australian work must satisfy visa conditions.

The combined employment score is capped at 20. Education and partner categories are not added together within their category. Selecting a visa does not award nomination points automatically. 491 is a provisional visa, not immediate permanent residence. At least 65 points is a threshold, not a promise of invitation; occupation, assessment, age, English, nomination and other conditions still apply.

Proposed reforms are not applied here until the relevant rules and commencement are verified. Recheck official rules before submitting an EOI.
